OUR HELE ORGAN

The organ was dedicated on 24th March 1911.
Two recitals were given, one in the afternoon and another in the evening. The organist was John C. HELE F.R.C.O & organist of St. Peter's Church Plymouth and a member of the organ building family and a MUS. BAC. (Oxon.). The cost of the organ was just over £500. Andrew Carnegie, the Scotish-American Steel Magnate had donated £250 and a Mr Conway Rose £100.
The resident organist Mr. Robert G.B. Haysom F.N.C.M. London (Gold Medallist) and Professor of Music also played a number of sacred pieces.
The acoustic properties within the Church of the Good Shepherd are excellent and superbly enhance the sounds of our organ.
